Digital safety and anti-bullying ambassadors for secondary schools

Sharon White - Saturday, November 11, 2017 -

Facebook has teamed up with Childnet International and the Diana Award to offer a programme to create digital leaders and anti-bullying ambassadors in every secondary school in the UK. Young people will be trained to provide peer-to-peer support and lead online safety initiatives in the classroom.

A recent survey of 1,000 13-17 year olds by ResearchBods revealed that young people turn to one another first for support with issues such as cyber-bullying. Two thirds (63%) calling for more peer-led education programmes in schools.
